Why does the right side of your heart contain oxygen poor blood on the left side contain oxygen rich blood

the right side of the heart receives deoxygenated blood after oxygen is used

by the other organs and the left side of the heart recevies oxygenated blood from the lungs and is rich in oxygen because of that
