The government took the idea of socialism as a basis and forced people to be ''all the same'' and everything to be“equal”. And what about Harrison Bergeron, he was totally against this idea, he was completely different and strong man who wanted and needed changes. It doesn't suit the system which government was about to build so he was sent to the jail and sentenced to the punishment.
