Manifest destiny was a belief held my many Americans in the 19th century. It originated from Americans desire to conquer the west and spread their power and influence o'er the world. Hint Manifest Destiny- which Americans believed that it was their destiny to.spread across the Pacific ocean and establish their supremacy.
