In your own words, explain why Jefferson was worried about the agreement between France and Spain over the Louisiana territory.

This new agreement caused a very bad threat to the united states. It was directly to the left of America and was about the same size as our whole country at the time. Jefferson is one of the best diplomats in American history, he realized this problem before anyone else.
