In Guatemala, the bad habit of unpunctuality has led to the coining of the term “ahora chapina” (In English it would mean: I'm coming but don't hurry I do it in my time ). In most places it is considered as a cause of shame to use it as a pretext in the business and work environment.

Developing punctuality is a matter of discipline. But a discipline not derived from fear of demands, but from an attitude of respect towards other people.
