Describe how cyclins control the cell cycle

one of a family of closely related protiens that regulate the cell cycle in eukaryotic cells. A class of proteins that fluctuate in concentration at specific points during the cell cycle and that regulate the cycle by binding to a kinase.

Cyclins are named such because they undergo a constant cycle of synthesis and degradation during cell division.
