1. Let J be the mass of Jupiter and this may be expressed as,
J = (5.8 x 10^3)(3.3 x 10^23)
The answer to the operation above is 1.914 x 10^27. In correct scientific notation, the answer would be 1.91 x 10^27 kg.
2. The same as what had been done in the previous number, let E be the mass of Earth.
1.91 x 10^27 = (3.2 x 10^2) x E
The value of E is equal to 5.97 x 10^24. In correct scientific notation, the answer would be 6.0 x 10^24 kg.
