The length of a rectangle is 14 meters. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 44 meters, what is the width?

b.) 16m

In a rectangle the opposite sides are equal.  So if the perimeter is 44 meaning all sides added up equal 44.  Then you can subtract 14 twice because there are two 14 length sides.  That will result in 16.  Then divide by 2 because there are two side lengths that are the widths.  This results in 8.  The correct answer is A.  8m
