Well, the muscle has 4 chambers. The two upper ones are the atria and they bring in the blood. The bottom two are the ventricles, where the blood exits the heart. The right side pumps the deoxygenated blood to the lungs to be oxygenated. Then that oxygenated blood is pumped through the right side of the heart and distributed to the rest of the body.
