Mercedes is allowed to watch no more than 5 hours of television a week. So far this week, she has watched 1.5 hours. Write and solve an inequality to show how many hours of television Mercedes can still watch this week.

Let, the number of hour, she can still watch the T.V. = x
Equation would be: x + 1.5 ≥ 5

Solving the equation:
x + 1.5 ≥ 5

Subtract 1.5 from both the sides,
x + 1.5 - 1.5 ≥ 5 - 1.5
x ≥ 3.5

In short, She can watch 3.5 hours more in that week
