Would henry iv have been as tolerant of catholics and issued a similar edit if he had not converted to catholicism? why or why not?

History is not made up of assumptions. Henry IV may or may not have decreed the Edict in any situation. His choice probably comes from the search for peace in his kingdom, for the end of the bloody conflicts and for the respect he fed the Protestants, since he himself had already been.
