the owner of a miniature golf course plans to spend no more than $300 on supplies. Golf balls cost $6.30 per dozen, and putters cost $10.95 each. The owner decides to buy 10 dozen golf balls. Can the owner also afford to buy 20 putters? Write and solve an inequality to justify your answer.

6.30x10=63+10.95x20=$282 300-282=18.Yes he will have enough because all of it together cost $282 which means he will have $18 left.

Answer: Yes, he can buy 20 putters.

Step-by-step explanation: The inequality to solve this question is:

6.30.x + 10.95.y ≤ 300

As x = 10, it will be

6.3.10 + 10.95.y ≤ 300

10.95.y ≤ 300 - 63

10.95.y ≤ 237

y ≤ 22

Now, as the quantity of putters the owner has to buy to meet his budget is less or equal 22, the owner can buy 20 putters.
