Catalase is an enzyme that performs decomposition of H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) into oxygen and water, and protects the cells from oxidative damage by ROS (reactive oxygen species).

Catalase is a protein molecule, and can be denatured by exposure to certain chemicals, acidic environment or high heat. Denaturation of proteins leads to change in shape of the protein, because of disrupted bonds between the amino acids.

Thus, the correct answer is option (4).
