a store donated 2 1/4 cases of crayons to a daycare center. each case holds 24 boxes of crayons : each box holds 8 crayons. how many crayons did the center receive?

So the store donated 2 1/4 cases of crayons and each case golds 24 boxes of crayons, multiply 2 x 24 that is equals to 48 boxes or crayons. but remember they gave you 1/4 of a case so divide 24 by 4 that is equal to 6. So now each box contains 8 crayons, multiply 8 x 48 equals to 384 and now multiply 6 * 8 equals to 48. and add 384 and 48 equals 432. I hope this helps :)
