Use the slope formula to calculate the slope of the line that contains the two points (-4, 0) and (5, 2).

If the slope formula is
( y_(1)- y_(2) )/( x_(1)- x_(2) ) all you have to do is plug in the points:


(0-2)/(-4 -5) =
(-2)/(-9) =
(2)/(9)

or


(2-0)/(5-(-4)) =
(2)/(9)

Either way your slope is going to be
(2)/(9)
