The given vector is
8i + 6j
The angle can be calculated using
θ = tan⁻¹ (b/a)
where b and a are determined from
ai + bj
θ = tan⁻¹ (6/8) = 36.9 degrees
The angle between the vector and the positive x-direction is 36.9 degrees.
