peter chooses a grab bag at a food fair each bag contains a small box of chocolate a box of tea a package of cookies and a box of crackers. the people who assembled the bags randomly picked items from 8 kinds of chocolate 3 kinds of tea 5 kinds of cookies and 5 kinds of crackers. Find the probability that peter will pick up a bag with dark chocolate, green tea,chocolate cookies and saltines

If you multiply the probability options together (the chance of getting any of the chocolates, any of the tea, any of the kinds of cookies and any of the kinds of crackers)... you get 1/600

The reason that you multiply is the probability is dependent on you getting those 4 exact options together

1/8 * 1/3 * 1/5 * 1/5 = 1/600 or about .00166
