How does nonsexual natural selection affect the appearance of male guppies?

If male guppies are a bright color they may be more visible to predators, and thus they would be selected against, and the guppies that blend in more to their surroundings would be more likely to survive to reproduce. Thus over time the percentage of dull colored male guppies in the population would decrease.
