Reagan based his reelection campaign in the year 1984 on the booming economy. The booming economy is being referred to the economy wherein there is a continuous increase in regards to the GDP that has extended for ten years, in which is the longest record.

The booming economy give various opportunities for new businesses to thrive. Because of this, Reagan promote the idea of smaller tax rate and less government involvement in the market as the basis for His campaign in order to attract votes from small businesses owners.
