ab-ac=a(b-c)
a is a factor of ab and ac

3h³-9h²
factor each
3h³=3*h*h*h
9h²=3*3*h*h
common factor is 3*h*h=3h²

3h^3-9h^2=(3h²)(h)-(3h²)(3)=3h²(h-3)
