Why did U.S. forces have trouble defeating the Seminole? How might some Seminole have managed to avoid relocation after 1842?

The US forces had trouble defeating the Seminole because most of them were untrained soldiers. These untrained soldiers were ambushed when they were ordered to fortify the forces in Fort King. However, the tragedy drew support from Congress to supply more weapons and men.
