What allows reactions to take place to take place at a normal body temperature?

i will use respiration as an example. (Respiration is a chemical reaction which happens in every living thing.)
You breathe in oxygen which is pumped round the body (by the heart) via the bloodstream. you then breathe out the carbon dioxide. the products are:
GLUCOSE + OXYGEN --> CARBON DIOXIDE + WATER + ENERGY.
