Raul's mistake was that he divided by +6 instead of -6. He should have divided by -6 so that the x would be positive.

Correct Work:
-6x=72
-6x/-6=72/-6
x=-12

-6x= 72
You are supposed to divide both sides by -6 and not just 6. That was Raul's mistake
-6x/-6= 72/-6
X= -12
