With the emergence of technology, new societal standards and perspectives; should it be fair to "destroy" monuments/statues dedicated to people, whom are dictators to peace and harmony?

i would not think so because those statues were created for a reason and not just to say "hey i have a statue" but to say "hey i have done somthing important and the world should remember me by it"
