What is the average rate of change of the function f(x)=5(2)x from x = 1 to x = 5?

P.S. On the equation, the second x is in the squared position.

= (f(5)-f(1))/(5-1) f(x)=5(2)x^2 f(5)=5(2)5^2=10*25=250 f(1)=5(2)1^2

rate of change= (250-10)/(5-1) = (240)/(4) =60
