Answer is A.
For a quadratic function, the rule at finding the points it to square the x value and then multiply by the coefficient to get the y.
So.......
X Y
-2 2
-1 .5
0 0
1 .5
2 2
And by looking at these points, A matches perfectly

I believe the correct graph for y = 1/2 x^2 is the first graph. To graph this equation, you must create an x,y chart.
Ex.)
x , y
-2, 2
-1, 0.5
0, 0
1, 0.5
2, 2
