On the 4th of July, the probability of a person having a car accident is 0.08. What is the probability of a person driving while intoxicated or having a car accident if the probability of a person driving while intoxicated is 0.25 and the probability of a person having a car accident while intoxicated is 0.13?

The correct answer is D, 0.20. You add the probabilities of either situation occurring and subtract the probability of both of them occurring.

0.25 + 0.08 - 0.13 = 0.20
