The answer is A) Maintenance costs due to salt water corrosion

Both Tidal Power and Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) are fantastic forms of clean and renewable energy.

Both are comparable to wind-power in terms of consistent energy supply but have the possibility to provide far more energy due to the sheer power and size of the Ocean.

However, both forms of energy generation require high maintenance costs due to corrosion that can occur due to the high salt content in seawater.
