Point-point equation

(y-y_(1))/(x-x_(1)) = (y_(2)-y_(1))/(x_(2)-x_(1)) , (y-10)/(x+6) = (-2-10)/(12+6) , (y-10)/(x+6) = (-12)/(18) , (y-10)/(x+6) = (-2)/(3) x-intercept is the point when y=0, we can substitute y with 0.

(-10)/(x+6) = -(2)/(3) , (10)/(x+6) = (2)/(3) 10*3=2(x+6) 30=2x+12 2x=18 x=9, x-intercept (9.0)
