During the war, Hitler along with other nazi's fell to their knees and lost the battle. From what we know right now, he fled the scene, and took his own life shortly after.

In conclusion, Adolf Hitler was invested in dictatorship and gained a lot of power as the chancellor of Germany. He is a big reason why the second World War has taken place.
