Answer: New York, Los Angeles, & Miami

First Jews who migrated to America as early as 1933 were from Spain and Portugal. They arrived in the US as refugees. The Ashkenazi Jews comprise the vast majority of American Jews who settled first in and around New York City; in recent decades have moved to Miami, Los Angeles and other large areas in the South and West. The number of American Jews are estimated at 6.4 million (almost 39% of the Jewish population) and approximately 2.1% of the total population of US.

Jewish Americans are mostly concentrated in the metropolitan area of New York City. Big portion of them are descendants of the German Jews, some of which came in the late 19th century, while others after the World War II. Most of them were highly educated, so New York City was a nice place for an educated person with a sense for economics to prosper.
