If p(x) = 2x^3 - 3x + 5, what is the remainder of p(x) divided by (x - 5)

Dividing the function given, P(x) by (x-5) will give us the following
P(x)/(x-5)
=(2x^3-3x+5)/(x-5)
=(2x^2+10x+47)+240/(x-5)
thus the remainder is:
240
