The water is continuously fed through the separation system, and the clean filtrate is allowed to flow back into the aquarium. Should he use a screen or a filter? Explain at least one advantage and one disadvantage of each.

If Noam chooses a filter, it might be more effective than a screen. After using it for a while, though, he will have to replace it, which could be expensive. A screen might be less effective, but it can be cleaned instead of being replaced.
