What do gandhi's writings suggest about his view of suffering give examples from each document?

Gandhi in his Law of suffering elaborated that it was imperative to adapt to non-violent means to subdue an opponent. He stressed that to bravely endure suffering, would melt a difficult situation or individual into submission. This kind of suffering bravely borne willingly and without resentfulness and hate towards the perpetrators is what was required.
