Scout reflects: "until i feared i would lose it, i never loved to read. one does not love breathing." what comparison is lee suggesting in these two sentences? what does it suggest about how scout thinks about reading?

In this comparison Lee is suggesting that reading is something that is as naturally a part of people as breathing is, but they don't really notice it until it becomes something they might lose. Scout is saying that she would not survive without reading, as one would not be able to survive without breathing.
