I believe that culture has changed from an emphasis on material culture ie for our ancient ancestors it would be things like arrow heads and cutting stones from the Stone Age whereas now in modern times it would be things like creative writing, ie literature, painting, drawing, sculpture and also in both times how people interact and hopefully in an increasingly civilized manner,
