Martin Luther King was a social rights activist who fought for freedom and racial equality for the black people of the United States. Even though Martin Luther King was sympathetic to the Black Power Movement, he was very critical to its message and violent approach. As a leader, Martin organized non-violent protests and did NOT support any kind of violent behavior towards the white racists.
