Socialism and eventually communism--Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto in which he outlined the process of moving a country to communism.

Marx believed the workers would rise up and overthrow the corporations. In this overthrow they would move to a socialist system in which the government makes all businesses public. When established, the power of business would be given to the people with no government needed to control the means of production.
