The 2 chords are equidistant from the center and are therefore equal.
So, chord JK = LM
3p + 2 = 7p -2
4p = 4
So, p = 1
Since p = 1 then chord JK = 3p +2
JK = 3*1 + 2
JK = 5
Answer is "C"
