Read the passage.

The noble Brutus Hath told you Caesar was ambitious; if it were so, it was a grievous fault, and grievously hat Caesar answer'd it.

Which best expresses the explicit meaning in this passage?

A. Brutus told you Caesar was ambitous, but since Caesar is dead, he is no longer ambitious.

B. Brutus told you Caesar was ambitous. If it's true that Caesar was, then it wasn't a good thing, and he's being punished for it.

C. Brutus told you Caesar was ambitous, and Caesar responded to that accusation by dying.

D. Brutus suggested that Caesar was ambitous, but even if he was, he didn't deserve to die.

Yes it’s true C because cesar did die but as well as Brutus did tell him he was ambitious so cesar returned with that by dying
