How did things change for women in the immediate postwar period ww1?

New roles for women opened up because men were at war so woman left their homes and started to work to support the war effort as women were working outside of the home and making money it helped them gain independence and as they gained more independence and rights eventually it led to the women's liberation movement in the 1960s and feminism and we saw similar things in the country throughout the world
