What would be the consequence of a mutation in a bacterial cell that produces a defective aminoacyl-trna synthetase that attaches a lysine instead of the normal phenylalanine too trnas with the anticodon aaa?

The bacteria cell would probably die. This is because the mutation would cause a conformation change in critical proteins such as enzymes. Lysine is a polar amino acid while phenylalanine has aromatic residues hence hydrophobic. This will affect the folding of proteins hence affect their functions.
