The correct answer is option C) "Many women had to remain at home while husbands found work." During the Great Depression the opportunities for income were very low for men and were even worse for women. Most of the time women hand to remain at home while men had to be on lines with blocks long just for applying to couple of jobs, which positions were very competitive.
