he population of a city grows at a rate of 5% per year. The population in 1990 was 400,000. What would be the predicted current population? people (round to the person, you can't have half a person)

5 percent of 400,000 is 20,000
It is about 28 years from 1990
20,000 * 28 = 560,000
560,000 + 400,000 = 960,000
So the estimated current popu;ation in a city is 960,000.
