we know that
the area of a regular polygon is A=(1/2)*a*P
where
a is the apothem
and P is the perimeter
step 1
find the distance of the apothem
d=√[(y2-y1)²+(x2-x1)²]-----> d=√[(3)²+(-4)²]------> d=√25-----> d=5 units
A=(1/2)*a*P
a=5 units
P=40 units
A=(1/2)*5*40-----> A=100 units²
