The area of a triangle is 0.5base*height=0.5(a)(18)
since it is a right triangle we can find a using Pythagoras
18^2+a^2=30^2==>a^2=30^2-18^2=576
a^2=576==>a=24
so the area of the triangle is 0.5(24)(18)=216
