Sounds as tho' there were several answers to choose from. Please make sure to share them when you post your questions.

If f(x)=x^2-5, and g(x)=f(x-7), then g(x) = (x-7)^2-5 = x^2 - 14x + 49 - 5, or
g(x) = x^2 - 14x + 45 (answer)
