Melissa is a 35 year old woman. Over the next few decades, her crystallized intelligence will likely increase, while her memory intelligence will likely decrease. Crystallized intelligence is the ability to use knowledge, skills and experiences and does not equate to memory, however, relies on accessing information from the long term memory. Crystallized memory tends to peak later in life, hitting its apex around the age of 60 or 70. Fluid intelligence on the other hand peaks in adolescence and declines beginning around the age of 30 or 40.
