(f-g) (X) = f(X) -g(X) = x^4-x^2+9-x^3-3x^2-12

= x^4-x^3-4x^2-3

(f -g)(x) = f(x) -g(x)
= (x^4 -x^2 +9) -(x^3 +3x^2 +12)
= x^4 -x^2 +9 -x^3 -3x^2 -12
= x^4 -x^3 +x^2*(-1 -3) +(9 -12)
= x^4 -x^3 -4x^2 -3

(f-g)(x)=x^(4)-x^(3)-4x^(2)-3
