To solve for the angle use the sine function.

sin x = 42/100
sin x = 0.42

Now do the inverse of sine on both sides.

x = 24.8°

Bunny's climb form a Right Angled Triangle as shown in the figure. The hypotenuse and the perpendicular side of the Right Angled Triangle are known , we are to find the angle made by the bunny.

Sine can be used to related these three terms as sine of angle is equal to perpendicular divided by hypotenuse.


sin(x)= (42)/(100)=0.42 \\ \\ x= sin^(-1)(0.42) \\ \\ x=24.83

Rounding of to nearest tenth, the jump made by bunny was at angle of 24.8 degrees
